Actor Vijay Raghavendra Teams Up With Director Sanjeev Megoti for Kannada Thriller 'On Duty'

Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra has been cast as the protagonist in filmmaker Sanjeev Megoti's upcoming crime action thriller titled 'On Duty'. Megoti, known for directing suspenseful narratives, is making his return to Kannada cinema after a hiatus of nearly 15 years. The announcement comes on the heels of the director's success with the Telugu crime thriller 'Police Complaint', starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Naveen Chandra, which performed well both in theaters and on streaming platforms.

Vijay Raghavendra, a prominent actor from the family of Kannada cinema icon Dr. Rajkumar, has built a solid filmography with intense crime and suspense roles, including his recent appearance in 'Second Case of Seetharam'. Reports indicate that Raghavendra gave an immediate nod to Megoti's fresh storyline and unconventional screenplay. The film is being conceptualized on a significant scale with an emphasis on action sequences and a distinctive narrative structure. Production details, including the official production house, supporting cast, and technical crew, are scheduled to be officially unveiled in the coming weeks. For Sandalwood enthusiasts, the collaboration represents an intriguing synergy between an established actor and a director known for high-octane crime storytelling.
