India's SD Prajwal Dev Wins Second Career ATP Challenger Doubles Title in Vietnam
Indian tennis player SD Prajwal Dev achieved a major career milestone by capturing his second ATP Challenger doubles title at the Sport Festival Challenger 2026 in Phan Thiet, Vietnam. Partnering with France's Constantin Bittoun Kouzmine, the top-seeded Indo-French duo defeated Japanese fourth seeds Yamato Sueoka and Naoki Tajima 6-1, 7-6 (7-0) in the final match held on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The tournament witnessed dominant performances from Prajwal and Kouzmine, who wrapped up the opening set in conviction before battling through a tense second set. After neither pair could break serve cleanly in the second set, the top seeds swept seven straight points in the tie-break to seal the championship in one hour and 21 minutes. This victory marks the 30-year-old Indian player's second career title on the ATP Challenger Tour, following his maiden doubles title at the 2023 President's Cup in Kazakhstan.
The triumph is a significant boost for Indian tennis on the international circuit, highlighting Prajwal's consistency in hard-court events. Prajwal, who has routinely represented Karnataka in domestic and national tournaments, continues to build momentum on the professional tour ahead of upcoming ATP Challenger fixtures across Asia.
