iRobot Unveils Flagship Roomba Max 875 Combo Featuring SealForce Deep-Cleaning Technology at IFA 2026
At IFA 2026 in Berlin, smart home cleaning pioneer iRobot announced its most advanced flagship model to date, the Roomba Max 875 Combo Robot with AutoWash Dock. Priced at $1,199, the new robot vacuum and mop aims to solve one of the biggest challenges in autonomous home cleaning: removing deeply embedded dirt and debris from dense carpet fibers.
The standout innovation in the Roomba Max 875 is its proprietary SealForce Vacuuming Technology. Unlike traditional robot vacuums that lose suction airflow around the edges, the Max 875 features an adaptive skirt that lowers directly onto carpets. This creates a temporary airtight seal, focusing 35,000 Pascals of suction power and high-velocity airflow precisely onto carpet fibers. Beyond vacuuming, the robot is equipped with a self-cleaning PowerSpin roller mop that applies 18 newtons of downward pressure and features a ThermaMist steam nozzle to loosen tough floor stains before wiping.
When transitioning to carpets, the roller mop retracts into the chassis and covers itself to prevent dampening fabrics. The accompanying AutoWash Dock handles comprehensive maintenance, using 80°C hot water to wash the mop, hot air for drying, and automatic dustbin emptying, providing up to 90 days of hands-free operation. For consumers, this launch represents a major leap in hybrid robot cleaning performance.
