Mangalore to Offer High-Tech AI Training for Degree and Engineering Students
Mangalore is set to host a high-tech 'AI' training program designed for degree and engineering students, aimed at transforming them into Government Certified AI Professionals. This initiative, named "AI Pragathi Patha," is a collaborative effort by YATICORP and Karnataka Polytechnic (KPT Mangalore).
The Accessible Intensive Course offers practical AI training, a one-year residential program with Vanasathi-Aadhara facility, and an optional three-month internship for interested candidates. Upon completion, participants will receive a government-certified certificate, opening doors to employment opportunities in over 84 in-demand job sectors. Admission to this job-oriented program is free.
This program addresses the growing gap between traditional academic qualifications and the demands of the global market, which is rapidly shifting towards AI technology. Projections indicate a disappearance of approximately 7 crore jobs in the future, while an estimated 17 crore new AI-based jobs are expected to be created. To ensure high-quality education, a strict selection process, involving both government and private partnerships, will limit participation to just 10 candidates from each taluk.
