Ministry of Steel Highlights India's Industrial Growth at INNOPROM India 2026 Exhibition
The Ministry of Steel has set up the "India Steel Pavilion" at Hall 1 of Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi as part of INNOPROM India 2026, the premier Russian industrial trade fair held in India from September 9 to 11, 2026. Organized under the theme "Forging Together - For Infinite Progress," the pavilion showcases the rapid growth, technological achievements, and future ambitions of the Indian steel industry as it moves toward becoming a global steel manufacturing powerhouse.
The pavilion brings together major Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Ministry of Steel, including Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), NMDC Limited, MOIL Limited, and MECON Limited. These organizations are exhibiting their advanced engineering capabilities, technological innovations, and ongoing research initiatives.
The event highlights key avenues for bilateral collaboration between India and Russia, particularly in coking coal supply, specialty steel manufacturing, nickel sourcing, research and development, and advanced metallurgical technologies. Organized alongside high-level business forums on the sidelines of the upcoming 18th BRICS Summit, the pavilion underscores India's strategy to strengthen industrial self-reliance, reduce logistics costs, and expand global trade partnerships in heavy manufacturing sectors.
