NBEMS Clarifies Technical Email Discrepancy for NEET PG 2026 Examination Candidates
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) issued an official clarification on September 12, 2026, to reassure thousands of medical post-graduate aspirants who received automated emails containing an incorrect examination date. Medical candidates who appeared for the NEET-PG 2026 computer-based test on August 30 raised widespread concerns on social media after receiving official emails from NBEMS confirming Aadhaar authentication for an exam purportedly held on September 5, 2026. The unexpected discrepancy sparked confusion and rumors among students regarding system mapping errors or unannounced re-examinations.
Responding to the concerns, NBEMS clarified that the error occurred solely in the opening line of the automated email template due to an inadvertent clerical mistake. The board emphasized that the underlying UIDAI Aadhaar authentication date and timestamp recorded in the email were completely accurate and reflected the candidate's actual exam participation on August 30. NBEMS expressed regret for the confusion caused and assured candidates that rectified emails were being dispatched to all affected examinees, confirming that the NEET-PG process remains secure and unaffected.
