NEET UG 2026 First Round Counselling Results Declared for Medical and Dental Admissions
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially released the results for the first round of NEET UG 2026 counselling, a crucial step for aspiring medical and dental students across India. The seat allotment results, declared on August 21, 2026, cover 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats, along with admissions to Deemed/Central Universities, ESIC institutes, and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) colleges. Following the declaration, candidates who have been allotted seats are required to download their official allotment letters and complete the online self-reporting process. The subsequent phase involves physical reporting and document verification at their respective allocated institutions, scheduled between August 22 and August 31, 2026. This announcement comes after a revised schedule from the MCC, which had initially extended the choice filling for Round 1 until August 18, 2026, and provisionally declared results on August 19, 2026. The final updated result on August 21 addresses any revisions, particularly following PwD certificate updates, impacting nearly 30,000 MBBS and BDS seats. This rigorous process ensures transparency and fairness in allocating highly sought-after medical and dental seats, marking a significant milestone for lakhs of students who appeared for the NEET UG 2026 examination.
