The Government of Odisha has wrapped up a three-day investment outreach in the United Arab Emirates, securing massive investment proposals totaling ₹2,43,162 crore (approximately $29 billion). Led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the high-level delegation held over 46 bilateral investor meetings and six sector-specific roundtable discussions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai between September 8 and September 11, 2026. The outreach culminated in the signing of 24 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and letters of investment intent, which hold the potential to generate more than 6.18 lakh direct and indirect jobs across Odisha.
The investment agreements span a wide range of industrial and infrastructure sectors, including green energy, liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage, artificial intelligence data centres, rare earth processing, logistics, and ship repair. Key highlights include an MoU with CAZBAA Project Ventures for LNG storage infrastructure and agreements with Rana Holdings for green energy and AI data centres. Additionally, dedicated discussions took place with global leaders in downstream steel and aluminium manufacturing, positioning Odisha as a global manufacturing hub. Chief Minister Majhi emphasized that Odisha's progressive policies, abundant mineral resources, robust industrial infrastructure, and ease of doing business make it an ideal destination for international investors seeking long-term growth in India.
