PM visits CCIC handicrafts pavilion at Bharat Parv 2026 in Ekta Nagar
The Ministry of Textiles enterprise showcased its work with artisans and weavers under "Vocal for Local" at Kevadia, Gujarat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the pavilion of the Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India (CCIC) at Bharat Parv 2026 in Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, Gujarat, on October 30.
CCIC, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Textiles, used the pavilion to present its long association with artisans and weavers and its efforts to promote India's handloom and handicraft heritage.
The corporation says it helps craftspeople reach wider domestic and international markets in line with the "Vocal for Local" and "Local to Global" goals. CCIC Managing Director Bimal Gopalachari, officials, artisans and weavers were present during the visit.
