ZenaTech Wins Drone Technology Award for AI Precision Agriculture Solutions
Technology developer ZenaTech Inc. has been awarded 'Drone Technology of the Year' in the 2026 AgTech Breakthrough Awards for its flagship ZenaDrone precision agriculture platforms. The annual global awards program recognizes top innovations transforming farming through robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital monitoring. ZenaDrone earned top honors for its integrated hardware and software solutions, including the ZenaDrone 1000 and the newly developed IQ Series, which deliver real-time aerial data and 3D terrain mapping to optimize crop management.
Equipped with autonomous flight controls, multispectral sensors, and machine learning analytics, ZenaDrone platforms allow farmers to inspect large farm fields rapidly, detect early plant stress, monitor irrigation needs, and count crops and weeds with high precision. In tandem with the award, ZenaTech announced prototype testing for its IQ Octo, a medium-sized eight-motor octocopter engineered for autonomous low-altitude spraying and targeted seeding via a Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) model.
The recognition underscores how autonomous aerial systems are rapidly moving from experimental pilots to practical commercial applications in agriculture. As farmers face mounting pressures from labor shortages, climate variability, and water scarcity, AI-powered drone intelligence offers actionable insights that lower chemical input expenses, increase resource efficiency, and protect overall crop yield.
