Kohli's 74 steers India to a five-wicket win over New Zealand in the first ODI at Auckland
India win on DLS with 56 balls to spare; Auqib Nabi and Anshul Kamboj get their chance in the XI.
India opened the ODI series in New Zealand with a five-wicket victory in Auckland on Wednesday, winning on the DLS method with 56 balls to spare. Virat Kohli anchored the chase with 74.
Auqib Nabi and Anshul Kamboj earned places in the XI for the opener, as the selectors run a split squad — some players are preparing with the red ball for the Test series that follows.
The win comes after a closely fought T20I series between the two sides. The ODI series runs until November 15 in Tauranga, with the fourth match at Mount Maunganui on November 13.
The two-Test series starts in Wellington on November 19, followed by the second Test in Christchurch from November 27.
